It's nice to know that the oil filter I use for my car (K&N, part number HP-1010) is the same oil filter the 2007 CR-V uses.

It's also nice to know that K&N oil filters have a spot specifically for a 1" wrench. K&N designed the filter that way because they (as in, some people in the company) were tired of hammering screwdrivers into filters to get them off. (Note to self: The next time you do an oil change, you don't have to dig through Randy's garage for the oil filter wrench that barely fits. All you need is a 1" wrench. And my own garage, which I will have shortly).

and finally, it's nice to know that my drain plug is 17mm.

I changed my oil today. K&N oil filter and Mobil1 synthetic extended performance oil. hmm. maybe I should go write down the mileage before I forget...

S2000 on the way out? I hope not.

Considering the amount of time and money I am going to spend on my upcoming house purchase, modifications to the Si are temporarily on hold. Probably around June (my birthday) I'll be purchasing another piece of performance.
So, until then I'll just post, off and on, about Honda News. SO here you go-
This is the Sports 4 concept that Honda revealed at some motor show or other. It looks NICE as is... at least from this quarter. Something similar to it might end up replacing the S2000 (I hope not!) or simply filling the vacant spot between the S2000 and the upcoming (and on hold) NSX.

And here was the Acura Supercar concept that was a possible NSX. It's an interesting vehicle, but No NSX. the headlights are possibly the most interesting feature of the the vehicle...

And finally, Mugen (some japanese performance company) is working on a Road-to-Racing version of the JDM four-door Civic Si. it looks rally ready to me.Actually, it is very reminescent of certain subaru imprezas. Which is why although I DO like the JDM version of the 8th gen civic, I think I'll stick with my good-ol USDM Si.
